基于光延迟插值的光电混合数模转换研究
Study of photoelectric hybrid digital-to-analog conversion based on optical delay interpolation
【摘要】 雷达系统、光纤通信和高端测试测量仪器等应用领域都对数模转换器的性能提出了更高要求。结合微波光子技术探究数模转换的新方法是突破当前技术瓶颈的可行途径。提出了基于光延迟插值技术的电子数模转换器转换速率倍增方案,建立了数模转换系统性能分析模型,讨论了不同通道增益失配和光延迟误差对系统有效位数的影响。通过两通道数模转换系统实验验证了方案可行性,实验结果表明系统信号同噪声失真比可达31.90dB,等效于5.01位的有效位数。
【Abstract】 There is a higher demand for digital-to-analog conversion(DAC) in the fields of radar system, optical fiber communication and high-end test and measurement instrument. Combining microwave photonics technologies to explore the new method of digital-to-analog conversion is feasible way to break through the current technical bottlenecks. This paper proposes a scheme to increase the conversion rate of existing electronic digital to analog converters based on optical delay interpolation technique. The performance analysis model is established to discuss the effect of gain mismatch and delay error between different channels on the effective number of bit(ENoB) of the system. The feasibility of this scheme is demonstrated through a two-channel digital-to-analog conversion system experiment. The experimental results show that the ratio of signal to noise and distortion of the system can reach 31.90 dB, which is equivalent to 5.01 ENoB.
