【Abstract】 Taking the April 1, 2014 M_L5.2 earthquake in the Yellow Sea as an example, in this paper, the seismological background of moderately strong earthquakes and seismic activities in the north part of the South Yellow Sea are analyzed. Also, with the help of earthquake analysis and prediction system(Map SIS), some seismic parameters of this region were analyzed. The results show that there are historic and geological structure background for future moderately strong earthquakes in the region where the above mentioned earthquake happened. Some seismic parameters including temporal and spatial scanning parameters show abnormity before the earthquake, which probably indicates the increasing of earthquake risk in this region.更多还原
