【Abstract】 QU Qiu-bai comprehensively planned the modernization of Chinese language, and formed his profes-sional, complete and systematic Chinese planning thought before and after 1932. For China’s language planning inthe 1932-1982 fifty years, QU Qiu-bai’s influence is almost all-round. His thought of Chinese planning has pene-trated into all aspects of modern Chinese language planning, and is clearly embodied in many linguists’ languageplanning concepts.
