【Abstract】 Huzhou has a long history of mulberry cultivation and silkworm rearing, and has made a significant contribution to the development of Huzhou’s social economy. Since twenty-first Century, the sericulture industry has shrunk rapidly, which has shaken the income base of the 20% farmers in the city and the foundation of the silk industry. For this reason, the municipal Party committee and the municipal government has paid great attention on the situation, and dissued the documents of "Some Suggestions on Promoting the Sericulture Industry in Huzhou City" based on a large scale of investigation and research.
