The weatherability and hygrothermal ageing properties of carbon fiber reinforced plastic(CFRP)plates were studied by analyzing the evolution of the mechanical properties(i.e.,tensile strength,tensile modulus,and breaking elongation etc.)of the plates on exposure to simulation environments.The results showed that,intensive ultraviolet radiation,cool and moist environment,as well as acid and alkali erosion have great influences on the performance of CFRP plates.The tensile strength dropped by 10% and modulus ...
