【Abstract】 The concept of power is the overall view and basic view of the source,nature and operational rules of power. The people-centered Marxist view of power is the distinctive feature of the Party Central Committee’s governance of the country since the 18 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China,and is the core of Xi Jin-ping’s thought of socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era. Historical materialism believes that the people are the main body of power in the socialist state and power has the nature of serving the people with responsibility and reality. That " the power is given by the people and the power severs the people" is the essence of Marxist view of power. It has vital practical significance to deeply understand the theoretical origin and practical basis of the people-centered Marxist view of power and prudently use public power and make it sever the people with the maximum efficiency for strengthening the consciousness of serving the people wholeheartedly and developing socialist democracy in the new era.更多还原
