【摘要】 《民国知识人:历程与图谱》一书从教育制度史、人物传记、都市政治社会史与文化史等四个视角全面、系统考察了新型知识分子在科举废除之后踏出乡村、进城参与都市文明场域的完整生命历程。近代新式教育催生了新式知识分子,他们在知识、价值观念上与传统的分疏使其难以再回到乡村,而不得不踏入城市,参与都市文明场域的建设,并最终成为政府公权力统摄下的知识分子。从新型知识分子这一人生历程中,可以管窥近代教育、政治、都市等社会变迁中诸多不为人知的深层面相。更多还原

【Abstract】 The book the Intellectual of the Republic of China: procedure and maps studies the new intellectuals’ whole life of departure from the village after the abolition of the imperial examination system and entering into the urban area to participate the construction of civilization in cities comprehensively and systematically,from the perspective of the history of the educational system、the biographies、the urban political and social history and the history of culture. The new- style educational system breeds the new intellectuals,who possesses the knowledge and values which have no relation to the tradition leading them keeping away from village and have to enter into the urban to participate in the construction of civilization of cities. In which case,they become the intellectuals under the control of the public power from the government.
