【Abstract】 Coal water slurry experiment is an important component of coal chemical engineering teaching. It is an important experimental platform for college students to develop their scientific research thinking. The traditional experimental teaching is too dogmatic, which is not conducive to the development of students’ innovative thinking, and the flexible application of virtual reality technology in experimental teaching in Colleges and universities breaks the traditional experimental teaching mode and provides a new approach for students’ experiments. Under this background, the advantages and disadvantages of the traditional experimental teaching and virtual experiment teaching is analyzed.
