【Abstract】 In Moby-Dick,an outstanding novel written by Herman Melville,the author tries to perform a deep exploration on the inner world of the mariner by describing the thrilling whale-hunting in romantic and mysterious style.Taking Chapter 110 as the example,this thesis indicates that this is not only a vindictive voyaging,but also a voyage of thinking and spirit by comparing the mariners Queequeg and Pip’s different understanding and imaginations of the nature,the sea,the friendship,the life,the death,the Heaven and the soul of their own.This is the mariner’s multiple quests.更多还原
