【Abstract】 The public elective courses is faced to the students with different specialty in different grade. The public elective courses teachingin west local universities is affected by various factors, and has a certain particularity. The problems existed in public elective courses in western local universities were discussed combining with the teaching practice, effective teaching goals and teaching requirements of the course of Bonsai Trees.
