【Abstract】 The general status of glycemic control in Chinese patients with type 2 diabetes is unoptimistic. A great proportion of patients who are treated with basal insulins do not achieve adequate glycemic control. This review article analyzed the population characteristics and current treatment regimens of patients with type 2 diabetes in China, presented the possible reasons why patients fail to achieve glycemic control with basal insulin therapy and compared the clinical options to improve the glycemic control.更多还原
