【Abstract】 Founded on July 25,1833 in Guangzhou,Eastern Western Monthly Magazine makes significant contributions to the communication of modern astronomy and world geography,especially its explanation of Map of Qing Dynasty and Map of Russia from a global perspective. Moreover,its analyses of Heliocentric Theory,celestial movements and star charts from a cosmic angle also provide the world’s earliest literature for talents like Yuan Wei,who is the first Chinese to fix his eyes on the modern western world.更多还原
