【Abstract】 Ulysses is a world of flowers,a garden of flowers which are dazzling its readers. From the perspective of cognitive metaphor,those various kinds of flowers,in addition to their various referential meanings,carry some rich symbolic and metaphorical implications. In various contexts,properties of those flowers as a source domain,such as beauty,purity,youth,love,sexual love,etc.,are duly mapped on Mr and Mrs Bloom,hero and heroine of the novel.
