【Abstract】 Feminist translation studies affirm the individual translator’s creativity, allowing feminine elements into the translated texts. This paper deals with three Chinese versions of Sylvia Plath’s autobiography The Bell Jar. Due to the differences concerning the translator’s gender consciousness, the representation of images of spiritual breakdown and identification crisis demonstrate different meanings in the translated texts. The translator with gender consciousness reveals her feminist signature through the strategies of footnoting, prefatory remarks and rewriting, making women’s voices heard.更多还原
