【Abstract】 Gao Jiong is the outstanding politician and military strategist who assisted Yang Jian to establish Sui Dynasty. He chose and implemented the wise and the able while he carried out the political and economic reform. He contributed a lot in the war to defeat Chen Dynasty, in the defending of border security and in the construction of Daxing city.
