【Abstract】 Due to its unique geographic position,during the period from 1930 ’s to the beginning of World War II,Poland was entangled in the diplomatic maelstrom among surrounding countries.To defend the independence and territorial integrity of Poland,Joseph Beck took charge of Polish diplomatic affairs during this period.But his diplomatic policy was much-criticized and he was imprisoned because Poland was finally occupied by Nazi Germany.In fact the diplomatic policy of Joseph Beck was closely linked with Poland’s destiny at that time.Poland’s diplomatic stance to Germany,Soviet Union and other countries,organizing resistance or merely hoping for the best,such circumstances decided that Joseph Beck was in a helpless position and couldn’t escape the prospect of failure.更多还原
