【Abstract】 Bai Wei was a famous female dramatist in the history of modern Chinese literature. Having lived in an oppressive and harsh environment,she gained a unique life experience,because of which her dramas were filled with a strong female consciousness and fervent love for her homeland. The vicissitudes of history and life had deepened Bai Wei’s writing,and diverse works by her came into being,with subjects changing from individual tragedies to social ones; her themes changed from a vehement seeking of truths,kindness,and beauty to a merciless exposure of falsehood,ugliness,and evils; and her characters changed from female intellectuals to women in the lowest social class.更多还原
