基于文献计量方法的中国数学学科发展研究

【摘要】 数学,作为中国现代科学体系中的重要一支,发展至今已有一百多年的历史。本文旨在用文献计量的方法评价中国大陆作者发表数学论文的现状与未来的趋势。数据源自美国科学信息研究所(Institute for Scientific Information,ISI)的网络科学数据库(Web of Science Databases),选取了"期刊引用报告"(Journal Citation Reports)所推荐数学学科96种刊物发表的文章作为研究对象,以文章数量、质量为研究内容,从1932年到1944年,中国大陆学者收录到SCI(Science Citation Index)期刊的论文仅有23篇。1945年到1978年间,由于某些政治和历史原因,国内学者不被鼓励在国外期刊发表科研成果,没有论文被检索到。研究发现,1978年,随着改革开放政策实施,论文数量快速增

【Abstract】 Mathematics,as one of the most important modern disciplines in China,has a history of over one hundred years. In this study,a bibliometric analysis was made to evaluate the status and trends of mathematics papers from China’s mainland. Data in this study were based on the Institute for Scientific Information( ISI) and related products: Web of Science Databases,and the data were collected from 96 mathematical journals in the Master Journal List,recommended in the Journal Citation Reports( JCR). The number of mathematics SCI( Science Citation Index) publications from the mainland was only 23 in 1932-1944.During 1945-1978,no SCI papers was found because the researchers were not encouraged to publish papers in the foreign journals. However,it grew rapidly since 1978,when the spring of science arrived in China. The annual number of publications increased from 0 in 1978 to 1,751 in 2014,and 20,779 publications were published during 37 years. But the papers are of relatively low importance,and 48. 2% of the publications published in the journals with IF under 1,51. 2% between 1 and 2. They were only 0. 22% and 0. 31% with IF between 2 and 3 and above 3 respectively. The number of papers published in journals with high Ifs has also been examined,and 164 publications are found,and 111 publications( 68%) are co-authored by domestic researchers with scholars from other countries,so more high-quality papers are expected.
