【Abstract】 This study explored the influence of pre-task planning on EFL learners’ oral fluency. An experiment was conducted on 30 randomly chosen Chinese college freshmen who were divided into three groups(non-planning group, 1-minute planning group and 3-minute planning group). The findings show that 1) the fluency of students’ performance was affected by pre-task planning: two planning groups performed better than the non-planning group on the measure of number of pauses, total pausing time and speech rate; 2) however, longer planning time did not produce proportionally increased fluency which reflected the diminishing effects of more planning time.更多还原
