一种提前终止CU划分和模式选择的HEVC快速算法
HEVC Fast Algorithm with Early Termination CU Split and Mode Decision
【摘要】 与H.264/AVC相比,新一代高效视频编码标准(high efficiency video coding,HEVC)有效地改善了压缩性能,但却增加了编码的计算复杂度。为减少编码复杂度,需要对HEVC的快速算法进行研究。本文提出一种提前终止编码单元(coding unit,CU)划分和模式选择的快速算法,以降低HEVC帧内编码的计算复杂度。实验结果表明,本文所提出的快速算法在编码性能几乎不变的前提下,平均可节省约36%的编码时间。
【Abstract】 Compared with H.264/AVC, HEVC(High Efficiency Video Coding) as the new generation video coding standard can effectively improve the compression performance at the expense of increasing the computational complexity. In order to reduce the coding complexity, it is very necessary to research the fast algorithm of HEVC. So this paper proposes a fast algorithm with early termination of CU(Coding Unit) and mode selection decision to reduce the calculation complexity of HEVC intra coding algorithm.The experimental results show that the proposed algorithm can averagely save about 36% of the encoding time in the premise of keeping the coding performance under almost the same.
