【Abstract】 This paper summarizes the experience of teachers to guide students in mechanical innovation design competition for years. It points out that the competition coach should guide the students in 7 ways, which is the selection of topics, group, information retrieval,knowledge synthesis, scientific writing, practice, awareness training.
