【Abstract】 Paul Langrand,known as the father of the modern lifelong education,argued that education,especially adult education,is an important way to help people create a better life and a better world besides political power.Education is in fact a political issue.Lifelong education will be achieved only under the condition of political progress and the formation of new relationship between the governors and the governed,between the rulers and the ruled,and between the managers and the managed.Lifelong education is not only a generalized concept of education,but also a"synonym"for modern education.The development of lifelong education should give priority to the status of adult education.Adult education is like a"power locomotive"of lifelong education.The transformation of western education toward lifelong education is increasingly urgent.With the experiences of Paul Langrand and others,we can predict the possible problems that we may encounter and take preventive measures,which will provide a reference to promote education modernization and establishment of a learning society in China by 2030.更多还原
