【Abstract】 Water serves not only as one of the essential supplies in military activities,but also as an important strategic resource. In the Ming Dynasty wartime,the army obtained water resources mainly by means of "following watercourses ","resting by springs","drinking rain water or melted snow"and so on. Water was a necessity to guarantee the survival and fighting spirit of both officers and soldiers,and it had an impact on the marching,camping and combat ability of the army.Besides,water was used as a weapon in the war,achieving the aim of war mainly by means of breaching dikes,reversing water,stealing water,and drawing water. But on the other hand,when water was employed as a kind of weapon,it would usually bring about disasters and social problems,sometimes even affect the civilization process of regional society.更多还原
