【Abstract】 Ming style chairs play an important role in furniture development history and show the characteristics of modern ergonomics theory. The design and manufacture of Ming style chairs fully embodies the characteristics of the science of human body engineering. This paper analyzes the close relationship between ergonomics theory and Ming style armchairs as well as official cap chairs, and discusses their design thinking. By researching the design features of components in armchairs and official cap chairs, the embodiment of ergonomics theory among them is analyzed. At the same time, the importance of the application of ergonomics Theory to Ming style chairs and the usage of ergonomics theory to Ming style chairs are discussed.
