【Abstract】 Cao Cao acted as prime minister and was conferred a rank of nobility in the Eastern Han Dynasty when he wrote The Edict of Declining the Country with my Self-evident Ambitions. His prestige and power reached the peak in this time,but the political climate is not very conducive to him. Many people thought that he wanted to abolish the Han Dynasty in order to become the emperor himself. Accordingly,he had three kinds of psychological fear: the fear of destiny,the fear of authority figures and the fear of saints’ words,so he wrote the Edict in order to reduce the people’s slanders and accusations,and show his desire and ambition.更多还原
