【Abstract】 This paper argues that in Nine Stories Salinger portrayed many misfit heroes or heroines and explored the basic questions about the relationships between man and man as well as man and the world through the juxtaposition of traditional and non-traditional poetic subjects,the use of paradoxes of different semantic levels and the employment of various types of images.This paper centers on these three aspects and thus gives a detailed analysis of the poetic characteristics embodied in this short story collection.更多还原
