Thirteen novel 1,3-diaryl-substituted spiro[pyrazole-4,2'-pyrazolo[1,2-a]pyrazoles] derivatives( 3 a ~ 3 m) were synthesized by triethylamine catalyzed 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition of cyclic azomethine imines with 4-arylidene-5-methyl-2-phenylpyrazol-3-ones in refluxing acetonitrile.
