【Abstract】 In the 20^th century, while Thailand was going through the initial stage of social transition, its impact on scholars was manifested in their writings, which held on to their tradition while assimilating western thoughts to some extent. The Thai novel Eternity by Malai Choopiniji tells a story within a story. The inner story is a tragedy of love triangle. The outer story is how the former story was told and received by its listener. With the main characters highlighted with their Anatta, this novel focuses on how they live in this ever changing world. Though absorbing western realism in the novel, the writer adheres to the Buddhist idea of Anitya.更多还原
