【Abstract】 Since God let Adam give names to all kinds of animals, the momentum of man’s name-giving has flourished constantly, and its clamor has run rampant in the 20th century. As a distinct utterance in the pandemonium, Pound’s poetic discourse went through three phases of evolution: from an initial political stand settling into shape in his prewar rhetoric to his vigorous war-time campaign via media, and eventually to his post-war effort to direct his disciples’ action. Throughout the first two phases’ poetic discussion or terrorist agitation Pound acted blatantly, but in the latter stage, while under custody, he had to rely on his disciples in his "Ezuversity" as his substitutes to carry out terrorist undertakings, whereas he himself controlled them in remote secrecy. Fortunately, Pound’s master plan to renew in the New World the broken canto of fascist terrorism—by virtue of his "one-man university"—ended without result.更多还原
