【Abstract】 By identifying mitigating opportunism of suppliers as the primary purpose of supplier network governance,the paper examines the efficacy of various supplier selection strategies,control mechanisms,and their combinations in mitigating suppliers’ opportunism. A survey and analysis of 189 Chinese firms’ supplier network in manufacturing sector indicates that social selection / relational control are of higher efficacy than public selection / contractual control in mitigating suppliers’ opportunism. However,the combination of social selection and relational control,public selection and contractual control correlates positively with the suppliers’ opportunism respectively. In contrast,the combination of social selection and contractual control correlates negatively with the suppliers’ opportunism.更多还原
