相移法测定单模光纤的色散
Dispersion measurement of single mode fiber by phase-shift method
【摘要】 设计一种采用相移法测定单模光纤色散的实验装置。该装置由激光光源、激光调制器、光探测器、鉴相器以及计算机信号处理部分组成。通过鉴相器测定不同波长激光脉冲经过相同长度光纤后产生的相移,计算出光纤的色散。该装置光路简单,可以在比较大的动态范围内测量光纤的色散。经测量长度为6km的G652D单模光纤在1 550nm处色散为17.13ps nm-1km-1,与产品手册给出的参考值接近。
【Abstract】 An experimental device is designed to realize the accurate measurement of the dispersion of single mode fiber using phase-shift method.The device is composed of laser sources,a laser modulator,laser detectors,aphase detector and a computer signal processing unit.The phase-shift generated by the laser pulses of different wavelength after transmitting the same distance in the fiber is determined by the phase detector,and the dispersion of the fiber can be calculated accurately.This is a simple device to measure the dispersion of fiber in a large dynamic range.The dispersion of G652 Dsingle mode fiber with the length of 6km is measured by this device,and the result of 17.13 ps nm-1km-1 near the 1 550 nm is obtained,which is very close to the dispersion in product manual.
