【Abstract】 This paper presents the author’s considerations on several parameters and concepts that are commonly misused by the practitioners.These parameters/concepts are:index properties for design can be selected from the local practice;difference between the net additional effective stress and the footing pressure;design parameters for layered soil can be taken from the layer thickness weighted average;the mechanism of the quick sand is essential the same as the liquefaction;the relief platform should be close the bottom of the retaining wall.The paper presents the correct parameters and concepts.更多还原
