【Abstract】 Gestational diabetes mellitus(GDM) is associated with an increased risk of adverse pregnancy outcomes. The relationship between the different levels of the high blood glucose in less than overt diabetes and the pregnancy outcome has not been clear, and the diagnosis and treatment of GDM has been controversial. A new criterion for GDM diagnosis was proposed in 2010 by the International Association of Diabetes and Pregnancy Study Groups according to the study results of hyperglycemia and adverse pregnancy outcomes, which has been accepted by many countries.
