【Abstract】 The article is a research report of the construction of Guangxi Basic Education English Teaching Corpus, aiming at introducing the application of corpus to the pre-service and in-service elementary and secondary school English teachers in Guangxi. The article, fi rst of all, introduces the development of corpus linguistics and the current situation of English teaching in Guangxi. Then it describes the construction of Guangxi Basic Education English Teaching Corpus and its application in English teacher education.
