A method of melt mixing technique has been applied to take different temperature pure aluminum melt and 600 ℃ semisolid Al-36%Si alloys melt mixed to prepare Al-18%Si alloys. The effect of primary silicon phase microstructure and mechanical property were investigated by pure aluminum melt temperature,holding temperature and holding time.
