Ionic liquid intermediate N-butyl pyridium bromide was synthesized from N-butyl bromide and pyridine, and the reaction process was improved and modified. Under optimized condition of reflux 2 h at room temperature, the yield was 94.8%. Their structures were characterized and analyzed by ultraviolet spectra and infrared spectra.
