【Abstract】 Since the Tang Dynasty, the Cheng clan of Huang Dun, Huizhou had always been tracing and restoring their earliest migration ancestors of Xin’an for hundreds of years, gradually enriching Cheng Yuantan’s life story. Especially during the Ming Dynasty, although challenged by many people, it was agreed successfully by not only the clansmen but also the local government.
