【Abstract】 Results of the sugarcane seedling populations trial in Zhanjiang region in 2011 showed that there was significant or very significant difference in 5 characters among both the parents and the crosses. The hybrids of Yuetang 89-240 and CP 89-2143, which were crossed as the female parent, and Yuetang 93-124, Yuetang 91-976 and CP 94-1100, which were crossed as the male parent, had a better performance in both the cane yield per plant and cane suger than those of the other male or female parents; On the other hand, to the hybrids of Yuetang 89-240 especially when it was crossed with ROC22, both their cane yield per plant and cane suger was good.
