Correlation of metoprolol sustained-release tablets with curative effect and high sensitive C-reactive protein in patients with chronic heart failure in elderly hypertensive patients
【Abstract】 Objective To explore the correlation of metoprolol sustained-release tablets with curative effect and high sensitive C-reactive protein in patients with chronic heart failure in elderly hypertensive patients. Methods From August 2014 to October 2015, 125 elderly patients with hypertension and chronic heart failure were randomly divided into observation group(63 cases) and control group(62 cases), the blood pressure level in two groups before and after treatment were observed, the clinical curative effect and the level of hs-CRP, BNP were observed and compared. Results The total effective rate of the two groups was compared, the rate of observation group was 92.06%, the rate of control group was 82.26%, and the difference was significant(P < 0.05). After treatment all the SBP and DBP were significantly decreased of two groups than before treatment, the difference was significant(P < 0.05). After treatment the patients’ SBP and DBP of observation group were significantly lower than the control group, the difference between the two groups was significant(P < 0.05). After treatment the hs-CRP and BNP levels were significantly decreased in the two groups than before treatment, and the difference was significant(P < 0.05). after treatment, hs-CRP and BNP level of treatment group s were significantly lower than the control group, the difference was significant(P < 0.05). No adverse reactions related to the drug use were found in the two groups during the experiment. Conclusion Metoprolol sustained release tablets in the treatment of elderly hypertensive patients with chronic heart failure patients with obvious curative effect, can significantly reduce the hs-CRP and BNP levels.
