基于光纤激光器泵浦的高功率准连续Ho∶YLF激光器
High Average Power Ho∶YLF Quasi-CW Laser Pumped by 1940nm Fiber Laser
【摘要】 2μm激光器作为中波红外固体激光器的泵浦源方案之一,由于可以获得较高的中波红外激光输出,因此逐渐得到重视。设计了一种基于1 940nm光纤激光器泵浦的高平均功率准连续Ho∶YLF激光器,并对其进行了实验研究,表明在Ho离子掺杂浓度0.5%、晶体长度35mm、晶体控温20℃时,采用双棒串接、平凹腔L型结构获得了36 W的准连续2.067μm激光输出,其最高光光转换效率为51.4%,重复频率20kHz,脉冲宽度121ns,谱线宽度小于3nm。实验结果验证了采用1 940nm光纤激光器泵浦作为泵浦Ho∶YLF获得高功率准连续2μm激光的可行性。
【Abstract】 There is an increasing need for two-micron lasers which act as pump sources of mid-infrared solid-state lasers and can be used to achieve high power 3to 5-micron mid-infrared laser.We report on the development of a Ho∶YLF high average power qusi-continous solid-state laser pumped by a cw 1 940 nm fiber laser.The experimental result shows that by using double Ho∶YLF crystals in series with one Ho∶YLF length of 35 mm doped with 0.5% Ho+,we obtain 36W2.067μm qusi-cw laser with a L-shaped resonator.The corresponding conversion efficiency is 51.4% and the pulse duration is 121 ns at the frequency rate of 20 kHz.The spetrum width is less than 3nm.It proves the feasibility of 2μm high average power quasi-cw laser pumped by 1 940 nm fiber laser.
