将并行计算纳入本科教育 深化计算机学科创新人才培养

Combining Parallel Computing with Undergraduate Education and Strengthening the Talents Cultivation of Computer Science

【摘要】 目前,围绕学生的计算思维和计算机系统能力培养的计算机专业本科课程体系改革正在悄然展开,从知识、思维和实践三个方面改革课程体系,培养计算机学科创新人才。然而,随着多核技术的普及与大数据时代的到来,以冯·诺依曼结构为代表的串行计算知识内容体系已不能满足时代对技术发展的要求。国内外著名高校已开始将并行与分布式计算纳入本科课程体系,开设并行与分布式计算本科系列课程,培养学生的并行计算思维和并行计算系统能力。实践证明,并行与分布式计算系列课程的开设,不仅能够培养出具有挑战国际并行计算比赛能力的本科生,而且能够得到学生和同行教师们的认同。

【Abstract】 An undergraduate curriculum system reform of computer science has been launched from the perspectives of knowledge,thinking and practice.It focuses on students’ computational thinking and computer system ability and aims to innovative talents of computer science.The reform motive lies that the knowledge system of serial computing represented by von Neumann?computer failed to meet the needs of advanced technology with the spread of multi-core technology in the age of big data.Many famous universities home and abroad have devoted to combining parallel and distributed computing with their undergraduate education,and offer related courses on it,in order to train students’ abilities and thinking of parallel computing.It has been proved by practice that those courses can not only help to cultivate talents who are capable of competing with their counterparts in the world,but also gain the recognition of students and peer teachers.
