【Abstract】 The leakage current standard of photovoltaic inverter was introduced. Several typical topologies of transformerless PV inverters and their operation principle with advantages and disadvantages were analyzed. The application and its contribution to efficiency of multilevel topology in the PV inverter were explained. The application of high efficiency power devices in PV inverter was summarized.
