“Kunpeng-1B” sounding rocket’s attitude controlalgorithm using an improved pseudo rate modulator

【摘要】 Focusing on decreasing the overshoot when using the traditional pseudo-rate(PSR) modulator for large attitude maneuver control,an improved pseudo-rate modulator is proposed andapplied to the “Kunpeng-1 B” sounding rocket successfully.The algorithm overcomes the disadvantages of the small damping by introducing the angular rate to control instruction.Consequently,the dynamic response of the attitude control system can be improved.Firstly,the attitude control algorithm is designed using the improved PSR modulator in pitch,yaw,and roll channels respectively.Secondly,the decoupling strategy is implemented based on the “ Kunpeng-1 B” propulsion system’s configuration.Finally,the telemetry data from the successful launched sounding rocket demonstrates the effectiveness of the algorithm.
