基于Kinect的点云精度分析
Point Cloud Accuracy Analysis of Kinect
【摘要】 通过Kinect点云数据的平面拟合和球体拟合的实验,分析了Kinect测量精度的特点及其随距离变化的规律。实验表明Kinect可获得较好质量的点云数据,其最佳测量范围为0.8~2.3 m,测量误差随着距离的增加而增大,与距离的平方成正比。
【Abstract】 The motion sensing input device that is launched by Microsoft and called Kinect can not only capture depth and color images simultaneously,but also be low-cost and portable,so it has great potential in close-range three-dimensional measurements. In order to check its performance,we design and employ plane fitting and sphere fitting experiments of point clouds to analyze the property and the change trend of the accuracy along with the increase of distances. The results show that good quality of point cloud data can be obtained by Kinect,whose best measurement distance ranges from 0. 8m to 2. 3 m,and the measurement error is proportional to the measurement distance,i. e. the measurement error increases quadratically with the measurement distance.
