The pulsed exposure of pollutants in water environment are systematically reviewed in terms of the following five aspects,the relations between pulsed exposure and constant exposure,the relations between multiple pulses,the effects of time and peak concentration in pulsed exposure,the model study in pulsed exposure and delayed effect. Finally,key topics for further research are pointed out.
