【Abstract】 The Chinese education system should aim to teach students how to tell a story with depth,says Liu Shouying,a scholar of rural studies at the Development Research Center of the State Council.Fresh off a six-month stint as a visiting scholar at the prestigious Harvard University,Liu detailed his exchanges with scholars of Chinese studies at the elite institution.Liu said that he was startled by both the quality and scope of China research by internalional academics and enormous interests the academics have shown in China.Studies on the collapse of Soviet Union’s and its implication for China were one of the major focal points of interest.Liu said the research presented at various lectures were reflective of an academic environment that unearthed ideas through open discussion and independent thinking.更多还原
