【摘要】 新疆地名语源多、组合类型多,源于少数民族语言的地名和国家通用语地名在语音形式上不能一一对应。英译新疆地名因而要遵循特别的规范:源于汉语的地名的汉语拼音即是英语译名;音译自少数民族语言的汉语地名,其汉语拼音的音译转写即是英语译名;双语地名、同义异音地名和含汉语语素地名的汉语拼音即是英语译名,但要加注少数民族语言的汉语拼音的音译转写形式。遵循这个原则既是执行国家标准和国际规范,又是尊重各民族语言习惯。更多还原

【Abstract】 Owing to the multiple linguistic etymology and morphological combination types of place names in Xinjiang,place names of ethnic minority languages do not fully correspond to those in the national language.Therefore,the English translation of these place names must follow special rules:if it is from Chinese,the corresponding Chinese phonetic form is the English version;if it is transliterated from an ethnic minority language name,the transcribed Chinese Pinyin transliteration is the English counterpart;if it is a bilingual name,a homonym name or a name containing a Chinese morpheme,the Chinese phonetic form is the English translation,but annotated with the Pinyin transliteration form of the ethnic minority language.This proposal is to implement the national and international standards and at the same time to respect the customs of ethnic minorities and to take into consideration of their national feelings.The selection of the only strategy of domestication or foreignization is neither desirable nor realistic.更多还原
