【Abstract】 In the Republic of China,some people with advanced thought introduced and spread civic educational thought of the Western actively.Liu Zhanen was one of the representatives.His civic educational thought formed from the interaction of the subjective and objective factors in special historical period.He advocated the broad concept of civic education;promoted the main contents of civic education included performing civic rights,fulfilling the civic obligation and cultivating the civic qualities;he carried out civic movement,organized citizen groups,issued civic publications and implemented civic quiz actively.The civic educational thought of Liu Zhanen remains important enlightenment for the current ideological and political education in China.更多还原
