【Abstract】 Blood flow of right heart into the left heart through pulmonary vascular will become very difficult if pulmonary hypertension progresses to be severe. This situation can result in a significant increase of the right atrium volume, and the volume of left atrium is significantly reduced while the cardiac output is obviously decreased, which are prone to syncope or sudden death. Atrial septostomy is one of the effective methods to solve this problem. The advances in atrial septostomy for severe pulmonary arterial hypertension are summarized in this review.更多还原
