【Abstract】 Shanghai opened the port on November 17^th,1843;since then,the economy of Shanghai had grown exponentially.During the period in which five treaty ports were opened throughout China,it was Shanghai that became a center of international trade instead of just an important east-southern town.The Yangzi River economic zone has been open since the 1860’s when Shanghai became "Big Shanghai",transforming from a fishing village into China’s trading center.In the 1920’s,the grand opening era,Shanghai became the multifunctional economic center of China,a large port in the Far East,and an internationally recognized city.Throughout the history of Shanghai’s development,openness is the overall theme.It is the starting point of Shanghai’s growth,and the motivation of Shanghai’s bounding development.As a result of the openness to the whole country and the whole world,Shanghai was able to attract exceptional talent and gather different production resources,thus creating the tale of Modern Shanghai.更多还原
